Progress
This is the size of the bandage I had on when I left the hospital:

The next picture is minimally graphic. It's no big deal. You can barely see some dried blood. I wouldn't have said anything at all, but I thought I would warn you just incase you were super sensitive to images of a neck wound covered with a ster-strip showing a trace amount of dried blood.
Underneath the bandage, you will find the steri-strip:

Dang! My neck is swollen!
This adhesive bandage holds the wound together. I think I have some stitches on the inside, but am not really sure about that. All I know is that I am supposed to keep the steri-strip dry. The longer the steri-strip stays adhered to the skin, the better. I cover the area with cling-wrap when I shower.
We took this picture last night:

The wound looks better and my neck is not as swollen. Do you see where they shaved my head? I had no idea that they were going to do that. Oh well. What's done is done. Guess I won't be sporting an updo for my friend's upcoming wedding.
Dale has to change my bandage every night:

He has it down to a science.
My bangage 12 days post-procedure:

It's the "Marsellus Wallace" special. Did you get that? It's a Pulp Fiction reference.
And the brace:

Still have to wear this bad boy.
I am feeling much better. Miss Bee took me out for a manicure and pedicure. We also got coffee, and she even took me to HEB so I could get some popcorn and cookies. Oh man, I am going to have to work out super hard once I am up to it.
It was great to get out even if I was exhausted by the end of our errands.
I go to the doctor tomorrow for my first post-op appointment. I think he will be pleased with my progress.
I am.

I had a good time on our outing - and I'm so glad you are feeling better! Can't wait to hear what the doctor says!
