Uncommon Objects
Recently, my friends Amy (pictured above) and Will and I ventured to one of my favorite places on South Congress. Uncommon Objects sells "oddities, antiques, and curious goods."
You got that right. You want odd? Here is odd:
I don't know if this is some kind of rabbit pope, a rabbit bride, or just a fancy ass rabbit. I do know that it is odd.
Look at these:
What in the hell? Some kind of monkey figurines......saying the pledge of allegiance?
And then there are the bug specimen:
Amy does not like this.
Basket of heads?
They got 'em.
Ohh...my favorite:
A bunch of rusty, old, scissors on a string. Nice. Although I am "curious" if these are any "good." Can they still cut hair worth a darn? I doubt it.
2 Comments:
A rabbit pope! I love it! (Not in the "please get it for me" sense, more of the "what a random thing" sense!)
I'd be interested what they charge for these...uh...treasures. And if they ever sell any? And finally, to who?
