NYE PRD Part Two

Photobucket
Dale took the group shots of us ladies in our finest hats. Rachel suggested we strike a "2-0-1-2" pose.

Had to throw it into the black and white zone.

My favorite group shot is right here:

Most of us have our eyes closed or are in the process of closing our eyes. I don't know how Dale managed to capture such a moment, but I LOVE IT!!!! Hahaha! How can you not laugh a little when you see this sucker?

The rest of the photos were taken by Tirzah. I feel bad because I basically shoved a camera in her hand the moment she walked through the door. I was having issues with finding the right shutter speed, aperture, and ISO. I've been spending a lot of time exploring different photography and photo editing apps on my iphone and not much time practicing with my SLR. I guess what I am trying to say is, THANK YOU TIRZAH! Also, I need to get back to my Nikon.

So the story of these centerpieces goes as follows- I went to Target the day of the NYE dinner to buy NYE supplies. You know, hats, noise makers, horns, etc. I did not find much of that but I did notice that Christmas decorations were marked down to 70% off! SCORE! I bought some more ornaments and those crazy gold things. I figured I could stick them in some of the empty wine bottles I have been hoarding. Dang Pinterest has got me saving all sorts of crap with the intention of repurposing them into lamps, wreaths, wrapping paper, etc.

Another one of Miss Bee and Larry. I love this one. They are all soft with the glow of the Christmas lights. I am serious when I say that those lights (behind the curtains) will stay up year round.

Tirzah was playing with the settings with these two shots:

I think they are beautiful.

So again, Big thanks to Dale, Miss Bee, Larry, and Tirzah for contributing to the party. Especially you, Dale. You worked your butt off!!! Thanks to our guests for making NYE memorable and fun. Let's do it again Jan 2012!

Y'all did an awesome job. We had so much fun. Delicious food and delightful conversations with friends. Doesn't get any better than that!
