A door= A Giant Scrapbook

This is the inside of my office door:
Photobucket
That tacky black piece of fabric covers the window. I see students in my office so I gotta keep things private from time to time.

Upon first look, you might think all of those pictures on the right side are of various students. You would be wrong.
Photobucket
They are my school portraits through out the years. We have picture day in the spring and the fall. I take advantage of the free photos because I can pass them out to the teachers who use them for their student's individual schedules. The student can check the schedule, see my picture, and know it is time for a little speech/language therapy.

That orange sticky note says 139D. That is my office number which I often forget, thus the sticky note. This way, when somebody calls me and asks my office number, I can look up at the door and tell them. I'm all about visual aids people.
I have been in that office for going on 5 years. You would think I would know the stupid door number by now. Sheesh.

Below all of the Sarah pictures you will find a funny picture with my best school buddy (she is an audiologist for our school), a picture of another best buddy (she is a counselor at a different school in a different city), a wee dachshund card, some words of inspiration from my principal, and some wise words from Albert Einstein:

“Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.” -Albert Einstein

At the top of my door, there is more Sarah

These are from the birthday board. We have some pretty creative people putting that together.

Going down the left side of the door, you will find a copy of my professional license, an invitation to a 2 year old's birthday party, and some more inspirational words

Miss Bee turned me onto those words. Thanks, Bee!

I also have some Steller Staff tickets
Photobucket
students and staff can give these babies as rewards for good deeds. You put your orange tickets in a tub and the principal pulls from the tub once a month. The winning ticket gets a prize (certificate to a restaurant or something of the like).

And finally, two thank you cards made by students (with the help of their teachers).
Photobucket
Love them. The cards, the teachers, and the students.

What a great look into your office! Two things: 1.) Why does your name have quotes around it? Does it have something to do with how you say it in ASL? 2.) It was very nice of you to share your batteries.

Haha! I never noticed the "Sarah" until you pointed it out! Not sure what that is all about, but it makes it even more special!

From now on, when I introduce myself to people I am going to do air quotes as I say my name. Haha!

What a fun door! Much better than mine, well I work in a cubicle so techinically I don't even have a door. That blows. I want a door now. Real bad.
