A break in our regularly scheduled programming

Dale decided to play with the camera last night. He wanted a night time picture of the back of our house while the inside lights illuminated the windows. He thought it would look pretty.

Here it is:

Next, he took a shot of our kitchen table which has been taken over by my craft supplies. I just finished making a scrap book for some friends (shout out to PJ and Kristi) and had moved on to my next project....glitter art. You can see the prototype peacock feather against muted gold glitter in the lower center.

I am totally copying the style from another Austin artist. I have seen her art around different south Austin eateries and I thought, "I could do that." I am thinking I am going to mix a little paint in my next version. I'll post a picture when it is complete.

Dale becomes a tad frustrated when I work with glitter. It's not cool when he is in a work meeting and a co-worker points out that he has glitter on his cheek.

He has come to accept the glitter as part of the package. He knew I liked the shiny things before he married me.

*Cooper has an appointment with the vet to get the ol' snip-snip. Dale and I are saddened to take away his "boys" but the decision had to be made. He has started marking things. Hopefully, this will help to eliminate that behavior. It's not a guarantee, but it is hopeful.
D-day is this Tuesday the 17th.

*my birthday month is not turning out like I thought it would. I was under the weather last weekend so there was no fun in that. Plus, I missed a friend's b-day party! Suck-ola!

*Spring break is just around the corner and I could not be happier about that. YAY!

that is all

I like the glitter art. You should bring it over and I can learn how to do it on the patio. That way glitter will scatter all over the patio and it will sparkle.

I'm sad for Cooper, but it will be okay. I think it will help.

Love the pics! what kind of camera did you guys get?

In other news...you sure are one crafty lady! Now tell me what you can do with 100 toilet paper rolls? I got a box of them in my closet. I mean, how many sets of binoculars does one 3.75 year old need? But I digest...... :)

I love that glitter art as much as I love peacocks! It looks FABULOUS, daaaahling. When Roman & I had been dating a little while he bought a Wonder Woman glitter pic at Magnolia's for me. Now where on earth is that thing?
