I embarrass myself

Photobucket

That’s my pup, cooper. Look at him. Cute, I know. His cuteness is a problem. Because of his overload of cuteness, I have become one of “those people” that baby talk their dog.

“aww….does the lil coopie woopie have a buddie?”

Photobucket

That is Casper, a friend’s dog (also very cute).

I catch myself talking to the dog like this all the time. It’s just sickening. I hate it, yet I can’t stop.

“oh, Mr. Cooper is sweepie. He bought a ticket to sweepieville, yes he did…YES HE DID!”
Photobucket

When Dale gets home, I catch myself telling the canine:
“go see your daddy!”

Dale is guilty of the baby talk crime as well. In fact, he may be worse than I am.

Sorry in advance for anyone that hears me speaking like an idiot to my dog. I can’t help it. I just want to put him in my pocket and walk around wif hiz wittle bodie awl cute an’ cuddlie cuz he is mr. precious boots, yes he is!

DAMN!
I told you.
You have been warned.

It’s owl season

Yesterday evening, I took my puppy outside so that he could do his business. I was on the stairs of our deck, keeping watch, as he took his little five pound body about to find the proper place to “drop it on the one.”

Suddenly, I heard a loud “thunk.” I turned to look at where the sound came from and saw an owl perched on the fence near my dog.

He looked a bit like this:

(except he was on my fence)

Luckily, my dog had just happened to walk under the webber grill thus avoiding becoming Mr. Hoots dinner. I ran and scooped up my dog and the owl flew away. I really think he was flying in for the kill but had to stop short on the fence (which caused the loud “thunk”) because the dog got out of his reach.

Now, my husband and I both have to take the dog to poo so that one can keep watch for the owl while the other watches the dog.

I might have to make him a poo-shelter. As he gets larger, I hope this is no longer a problem.
Otherwise, I am going to be doing some owl hunting.

That’s one mean mutha-trucker.

It's a fuzzy red sweater

Happy Valentines day
I am wearing a cute red sweater I purchased at the thrift store a while back. I also have on my obnoxious red heart earrings. Oh, and I am wearing pants, shoes, and underthings. I don’t know why I am telling you what I am wearing. It’s so cliché to wear red or pink on Valentines day, right? Next thing you know, I will be sporting one of those hideous teacher sweaters complete with the bus, the kids, and the apple knitted into it. Oh, and the ever popular “ABC” knit where the letters look like they were written in chalk. I am not a teacher, but I do work in a school.

What else is new………

Oh, my sister and her family came to visit this past weekend. Here is the best photo of the bunch:

My nieces can Jam.

Next post, I will have to tell you about my recent MRI experience. That was fun for a claustrophobic gal, like myself.

Until then, I bid you farewell. May your day be filled with lucky happenstances and unexpected surprises of awesomeness.

The pup

Dale and I are the proud new owners of a dachshund puppy.
Photobucket

We got him yesterday. He is a sweet fella.
Photobucket

We are tossing the name “cooper” around. Rachel and Larry have a Dachshund named “Blossom”. They also call her, “Weenie”. Their neighbor calls her “Winnie”. So, we thought it would be funny to name the dog “cooper”. Get it…one dog is “Winnie” and the other is “Cooper”.
Photobucket

Or, he could be “Weenie Cooper”.

Photobucket

We are not sure yet. We need to be around him for a few days and get to know his personality before we can officially decide on a name.

I'll keep you posted.
